BOSTON LATIN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPS

Boston Latin Community Development Corps (BLCDC) aims to raise awareness in the Boston Latin School about the importance of community organizing and activism.

 

Through volunteering experience at various community organizations, along with workshops, videos, discussions, projects and visits to neighborhoods around Boston, BLCDC will educate students about common and outstanding political, social and economic issues surrounding each neighborhood in Boston along with essential leadership skills to address these concerns.

 

With a better understanding of community dynamics and society along with organizing skills, leadership capacity, and community awareness, students will become empowered to address the issues of various neighborhoods in the present and future.
